The controversy unfolded on December 14 when an FIR was lodged at Noida’s Sector 126 police station. Vaibhav Kwatra, the brother of Bindra’s wife, Yanika, filed the complaint.
The couple, who had tied the knot on December 6, was residing in an upscale society in Noida’s Sector 94.
According to details outlined in the FIR, just hours after the wedding ceremony, Bindra purportedly took Yanika into a room where he allegedly subjected her to verbal abuse, pulled her hair, and physically assaulted her.
The complaint further asserts that Yanika is now facing hearing issues due to the severity of the assault, and her phone was reportedly broken by Bindra during the incident.
This is not the first instance of controversy involving Vivek Bindra. The entrepreneur and speaker had previously been accused of running a “scam” by fellow YouTuber and motivational speaker Sandeep Maheshwari.
Maheshwari released a video titled ‘Big Scam Exposed,’ claiming that Bindra’s course resembled a multi-level marketing scheme, involving significant sums of money from students, amounting to nearly ₹500 crore.
In response, Bindra defended himself on his YouTube channel, refuting any wrongdoing and challenging Maheshwari.
The dispute escalated as Bindra alleged threats against his legal team and claimed intrusion into Maheshwari’s house by his employees.
In another controversy, Bindra faced backlash from the Sikh community in June 2022 over an animated depiction of Guru Gobind Singh in one of his videos.
The ensuing controversy led to demands for an apology, and Bindra eventually issued a public apology.
Back in 2018, Bindra found himself in a legal battle with the Indian Medical Association (IMA). The IMA filed a case against him, accusing Bindra of using defamatory language against doctors in a video titled ‘Reality of Indian Medical System.’
